How do you get to school?
This year, the District of Squamish is continuing with the safe routes to school process in collaboration with HASTe BC (hastebc.org) which will encourage active transportation (such as walking and biking). Through this process, school communities will help identify obstacles to active transportation and, together with stakeholders from the District, find and implement solutions. And Brackendale Elementary has been chosen as one of Squamish’s active transportation schools for the 2016-2017 school year!
As part of the process, Keely Kidner (the Active and Safe Routes to School Facilitator for Squamish) will be running some surveys to help understand how students get to and from school. So keep an eye out for a survey coming home in October, and if you are interested in helping out with this initiative or have any questions, feel free to contact Keely: email@example.com.
