EVENTS ON GOING:
Our popular Brackendale Elementary School annual family dance fundraiser is coming up soon on Friday May 5th from 6-8pm! This year our dance theme is Cinco de Mayo! Please feel free to dress up with our theme or wear a bright coloured t-shirt if you have one! We are in need of volunteers to do shifts in ticket sales, games, concession, cake walk, decorating crew and clean up crew! We are also in need of families to bake cakes or cupcakes for the cakewalk as the cakewalk is always a popular event and last year we sold out of cakes too early in the night! Cost to enter the dance will be $5 per family! Concession with pizza and goodies will be available! We will also be previewing lists of auction items for our school online auction fundraiser launching on May 5th through Facebook (our online auction will be live from May 5th to May 12th open to the community)! There are some amazing auction items to be won! If you have a business or auction item you would like to donate towards our school fundraiser auction, we would greatly appreciate it! Pease sign up for your volunteer shift on the PAC bulletin board inside our school foyer or email organizer Marcia Kent: firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or suggestions! See you all there!
“Dodgeball Dollars for Donation” Day will be on Thursday, May 4th and 11th. Brackendale is raising funds for “Bikes for Thailand”. For many children in Thailand, a bike is their only form of transportation to school. Students who donate a dollar can have a fun dodgeball game with their schoolmates. We will have two sessions at noon…one for primary grades and another for intermediate grades. Only the first 30 students to sign up by May 2nd will be playing dodgeball at noon. Sign up sheet is in Ms. Drenka’s room. Only the first 30 students to sign up AND PAY by May 2nd
Mrs. Hain’s class from Brackendale Elementary and Ms. Allen’s class from Don Ross Middle School have teamed up to plan a kindness road trip. We will be going all over Squamish to spread kindness. We are looking for some help with collecting items. You can help in the following ways:
1) Donate new underwear & socks
2) Money donations
3) Donate non-perishable food items
4) Donate durable dog toys, dog food, dog bones
Please drop off at Don Ross Middle School at the office OR drop off at Mrs. Hain’s classroom at Brackendale Elementary. All donations need to be in by May 8th.
